Accounting

Teaching focuses on examination success. This is achieved through the acquisition of knowledge, examination technique and thinking skills. The teachers are experts in their respective fields; they teach their students the information they need in the form that they need it.

Accounting

Accounting enables students to learn the key skills required to be an Accountant. Students learn about double entry book keeping, profit and loss accounts and balance sheets. This subject helps students develop their mathematical skills. Units 1 and 2 are covered at AS level and units 3 and 4 are covered at A2 level the units covers the following topics;

Unit 1:  Introduction to Financial Accounting
Unit 2:  Financial and Management Accounting
Unit 3:  Further Aspects of Financial Accounting
Unit 4:  Further Aspects of Management Accounting


Most students choose this subject in addition to Mathematics, Economics and Business Studies or simply through interest.

The subject is taught using a variety of teaching methods. Teachers will support and help students prepare balance sheets and final accounts.
